Florist During the 1920s George Britton began trading as a florist at 218 Church Road. The shop was located between Seneca Street and Cossham Road. Britton's was on the corner of the old pedestrian lane known as The Wicket. This curls around into Blackswarth Road cutting across Cossham Road.
By the 1990s the shop had become the YE OLDE FLOWER SHOP. An eye catching bold, modern design replaced the traditional shop front. It was noted for its impressive pavement display of flowers, fruit and vegetables. In the Noughties the shop closed and was converted into two flats. |
