Mr. and Mrs. Dave Sale bought Eddie Rice's shop at the end of 1975 and opened it as 'MAGS RAGS', a ladies clothes shop. They sold ladies separates - cardigans, jumpers, skirts, trousers and blouses. They also sold items of jewellery.

Mr and Mrs Sale remained at these premises until 1989 when it was taken over by Saunders and Weeks, gauge manufacturers, as an addition to their premises next door at 265 Church Road.
